Le Who Who on 'The Masked Singer' and Tiffany Haddish
This article contains spoilers for The Masked Singer season 14 episode 2, "Fear Night."
Le Who Who is officially saying le bye bye to The Masked Singer stage.
After a rousing rendition of “One Way or Another” by Blondie, several pitches to be Nick Cannon's next baby mama, and a whole lot of flashing to the panel and audience, Le Who Who was sent back to the toy chest.
Final guesses to her identity included Keke Palmer (Robin Thicke's pick), Leslie Jones (Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg's), Wanda Sykes (Ken Jeong's), and Tiffany Haddish (Rita Ora's). In the end, Ora correctly guessed her friend, whom Ora revealed on the show was actually a guest at her wedding to Taika Waititi in 2022.
Ahead, Entertainment Weekly catches up with the Emmy-winning comedian and actress to learn the hilarious reasons she was flashing the panel and spanking her bottom on stage, what she would have said to Ora if she'd not guessed her, and she provides an exciting update on the status of Girls Trip 2.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I will be honest, I don't think your elimination was justified. So I want to know, was any part of your onstage tantrum real?
TIFFANY HADDISH: Slightly. [Laughs] Because I feel like I could do so much more. I could have done so much more, but I understand it. They figured me out. Oh, well. It is kind of a compliment to my soul. It can be seen no matter what the covering is.

If Rita had not guessed you, what would you have said to her or what would you have done?
I would've been like, "What kind of friend are you? Are we really friends? Do you really know me? Because if you couldn't recognize me in that, you won't recognize me when I'm in my [element], when I'm not wearing no makeup! How do you know me? Do you even know me? I mean, I was at your wedding, girl. I show up for you. Do you know me?" We were texting. And when she's like, "What are you up to today?" [I replied,] "Girl, I'm chilling. Nothing." Meanwhile, I'm all at her job.
I know you joked about Nick Cannon being the reason you wanted to do the show, but was Rita the real reason you wanted to do The Masked Singer?
No, I've been wanting to do the show from the beginning. I've loved the show since day one. And to be watching it all these years and see people try to guess me and it's not me. Sometimes I guess me. I'm like, "Is that me? It seemed like they're talking about me." And to be finally on the show and to be outed so fast was a little bit like, "Dang." But then at the same time, it's like my people know me though. It made me feel good because a lot of those judges I've known for many, many, many, many years. So the fact that they were able to identify me right away made me feel very good as a friend. My friends know me.
First of all, I want to say I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I have watching this show than when you were up there just spanking your bottom and showing your skirt and doing all that. Did they have to add a little underwear part to the costume because of you?
Well, it was so funny when I tried it on the first time, I was like, "This is so cute, but she don't have no panties." And I was like, "I don't got no panties." And they made her some panties. And I was like, "These are so cute! I got to show everybody my panties. Everybody has to see how cute these panties are." And when I put the costume on, I felt like a kid again. I felt so young. It made me feel young again. So then I kind of was reverting back to kindergarten Tiff, who every time she got to wear pretty ruffled panties, I had to show everybody like, "You got to see these panties I have on, look!" I used to get in trouble for that all the time until like second grade, to the point where my mom started buying me Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday panties.
#LeWhoWhoMask is here for a good time, but are they here for a long time? Who do you think this silly ol' mask could be? 🎭 #TheMaskedSinger pic.twitter.com/9V1ASlw1Rm

[She was like,] "Okay. You going to show people what day of the week it is?" I don't know what it was about me, but if I had My Little Pony on, or I remember I got these set of She-Ra underwear, I had to show everybody. And so cut to umpteen thousand years later, yeah, now I'm showing everybody Le Who Who's drawers.
Yeah, I had a feeling they had to make them for you because I can't recall any other costumes having underwear.
They did. They did. They did. That was for me. And that was because I was just cracking jokes about how cute it would be. And girl, they made them drawers in less than 24 hours. I was like, y'all know how to sew over here. Them was some big bloomers.
Now that you've done the show, who would you like to see do it next and why?
I would love to see Kate Hudson do it. I would love to see her do it because she can sing so good and I don't think the world knows. I mean, I think she just did a movie where she was singing and I think people will think, oh, she's lip-syncing or whatever, but that girl can sing. So I would love for people to see that. And I don't think anybody would guess it. I don't think anybody would know. And then I would love to see Meryl Streep do it too, because I don't think anybody would guess Meryl.

You know what I wanted to mention? The most interesting thing to me or the wildest thing to me, I would say, about being on The Masked Singer is I've never had so many handlers, if you will, or people around ... I felt kind of like an Egyptian goddess where there was all these tall men and women standing around me with little fans hanging into the eyes of the costume. They're like, somebody's walking me, and then there's somebody that's fanning me and it felt like ... I was like, is this the real Hollywood? I thought it was the wildest and strangest thing for me. And that's all I wanted to share. If you want to feel special, be on The Masked Singer because you're going to get special treatment, especially if you're in that mascot uniform.
What else are you working on that you're excited about?
Well, I'm currently, I don't know if you know this, but I'm selling wigs, Lace Luxe by Tiffany Haddish. I started my own wig line. It's me and a few of my childhood friends. We came together and we started selling wigs for a multitude of reasons, but main reason is to get a foothold in that hair industry. And I use wigs a lot for my business, so why not own the product and get quality to the people, high quality at an affordable price? And I'm making music and I shot four movies last year. We'll see when they come out this year. And I'm just constantly every day working towards my goal of being a swim suit model before 50.
