PEOPLE has a behind-the-scenes video showing comedian Fortune Feimster hilariously record for her role as Nibbles Maplestick
Fortune Feimster had a blast in the recording studio bringing Nibbles Maplestick to life for Zootopia 2.
The Disney sequel becomes available to watch at home on digital starting Tuesday, Jan. 27, and PEOPLE has an exclusive behind-the-scenes video all about Feimster, 45, voicing Nibbles Maplestick, a beaver who plays a pivotal role in helping detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, respectively).
Nibbles is an eccentric conspiracy theorist podcaster who knows a lot about reptiles. "In all her oddness and weirdness, she is so confident in who she is," producer Yvett Merino says in the video of the character.
Goodwin, 47, calls Nibbles "hilarious and endearing and friendly and all the things that then Fortune slips right into."

Co-director Byron Howard says, "We've all been fans of Fortune Feimster's comedy for many, many years, and when Nibbles Maplestick came up, that was the only name that got discussed. Fortune has brought so much to Nibbles."
Jared Bush, co-director, adds that Feimster is "fearless when it comes to comedy."
"Anytime we'd tell her, 'Okay, that's at like a nine or 10 — go up to, like, a 20,' she's like, 'No problem! Here it is!' " Bush says with a laugh.
After debuting in theaters in November 2025, Zootopia 2 has gone on to become Hollywood's highest-grossing animated film of all time, earning over $1.7 billion at the global box office. It earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature.

The voice cast also includes Ke Huy Quan, Idris Elba, Shakira, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, Danny Trejo, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song and more.
On Instagram in November, Feimster celebrated the movie's release and reacted to being part of the film. "I went to a screening of it by myself at Disney a few weeks ago and I had no idea my character Nibbles was such a big part of the movie," she wrote. "When the credits rolled and I saw my name alongside Ke Huy Quan’s, it made me a little emotional."
The star continued, "I thought about all the Disney movies I grew up watching and I couldn’t believe I’m now part of that history. And recording it was so stinkin fun. Our directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard are amazing as is the extraordinary Yvette Merino. Go see this movie! It’s really good."
Zootopia 2 is on digital Tuesday, Jan. 27, then on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD March 3.
