New year, new faces of fashion.
One rising star who British Vogue just spotlighted is Jacqui Hooper — and it's hard to believe all the industry successes she has at just 21 years of age.
Hooper landed a Versace campaign before even setting foot on a catwalk, the magazine reports. Supermodel Karen Elson recently named her among a new generation of "Br-It" models.
And as Vogue notes in an interview article published Saturday, Jan. 3, Hooper’s life changed in August 2024 when a modeling agent spotted her among a crowd of about 90,000 people at a festival.
“I’m pretty sure I manifested that moment into existence,” Hooper told the magazine. “I kept telling people in the run-up, ‘This is going to be a life-changing event for me,’ because I was seeing Lana Del Rey live. And I was right. My life did change. Just not in the way I was expecting.”
The rest is history — in the making. Hooper seems to be everywhere in the biz, having graced the latest cover of Harper's Bazaar France (see below). It's no wonder British Vogue claims she is "poised to take over fashion in 2026."

Surprisingly, as Hooper told Vogue, she wasn't into fashion before all of this.
"It wasn’t that I thought it was gross, just that I hadn’t connected to it yet," she says in part. "Even when I was scouted, I was just wearing a little H&M skirt and top with, like, Converse. It was really not a nice outfit. I don’t know if my style has necessarily changed since then, but I’ve definitely become more confident in what I wear. I can now go shopping and be like, ‘I like this piece, and I don’t need anyone else to tell me that I like it.’ It’s been freeing, and I guess I’m a bit more ‘out there’ as a result."
And one common misconception about models, Hooper also shares, is that they lack personality: "A huge part of getting rehired and building longevity is actually having one. You need to be interesting to be around."
