We are officially past the halfway mark of fashion month and for Fall/Winter 2026, now with the Italian houses giving their spin on the season ahead. Etro started off the week on a high note, greeting us with a bold assortment of looks designed to please and encourage the eye to wander. From tartan accessories ornately wrapped at the waist to paisley splashed across long, bohemian dresses, it was plunge into a maximalist utopia. Meanwhile, Maria Grazia Chiuri made her triumphant return to Fendi with a runway debut. Under her direction, the focus shifted toward collaboration and craft, guided by a “less I, more us” philosophy that underscored the collective spirit behind the clothes.
This season, Prada resisted the urge to dictate. Instead, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons studied the layered, intuitive process of getting dressed and the freedom within it.
On Friday, the Demna era at Gucci officially began. Presented in a statuary, the collection balanced glimmering embellishment with raw, close-to-the-body construction. It was a confident exercise in sensuality, ease, and modern pragmatism and reminder of Demna’s belief that the future of Gucci lies within its past.
