A former FBI agent, Steve Moore, has recently shared his views on the ongoing kidnapping case of Nancy Guthrie. The ex-agent sat for an interview with Brian Entin of NewsNation for a new episode of “Brian Entin Investigates,” which debuted on YouTube on Tuesday, February 24. During the discussion, Moore expressed that the kidnapping case of NBC journalist Savannah Guthrie’s mother mirrors another well-known case, which is the Atlanta Olympics bombing case.

Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case isn’t ‘cold,’ but has ‘cooled off a bit,’ says ex-FBI agent

The ongoing and much-talked-about Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case has reportedly not gotten “cold,” but it has “cooled off” a little. Steve Moore, a former FBI agent, recently sat for an interview with Brian Entin on “Brian Entin Investigates.” The interview came out amid the speculations about whether the case had gone “cold” or not.

During the discussion, Entin went on to ask the former agent about his opinion on the current status of the kidnapping case of journalist Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mom. In response, Moore said, “Well, it’s certainly not a hot case.”

The retired FBI agent continued, “And the way I would define that is that if they thought something was going to happen right now, the last thing they would be doing is releasing assets.” He explained, “You know, people going back to their home offices, agents going back to their divisions. So they don’t think it’s imminent.”

Steve Moore then expressed, “But it is not cold, cold where they assign it just to one or two agents, and they see what they can do with it.” He then said, “So, technically, no, I would not call it cold. I would say that it is cooled off quite a bit.”

The former FBI agent also talked about which case he believed the ongoing Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case mirrored. “I guess the one case that I would analogize this to is the…Olympic bomber. That from Atlanta.”
