Minnie Driver is revealing one of her favorite holiday traditions.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the season 5 world premiere of Netflix’s Emily in Paris in Paris on Monday, Dec. 15, the actress, 55, opened up about how she plans to wrap up her exciting year. When it comes to what she’s most looking forward to this holiday season, Driver shares that it’s spending quality time with her family.

“Honestly, to put my pajamas on, to sit and watch a movie with my boyfriend and my son, eating popcorn, hanging out, drinking hot chocolate, going for a surf,” Driver says, referring to 17-year-old son Henry Story Driver and longtime partner Addison O’Dea.

“That's it. Heaven,” she adds, noting that her “Roman empire” is “surf culture” and the ocean. “I will never be a great surfer. I will always be in the water trying. I will always be going on surf trips.”

Driver — who joins Emily in Paris as Princess Jane, an influencer and friend of Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) who married into a royal family — welcomed Henry in September 2008 and has opted to keep the father’s identity private.

Over the years, she has spoken about her journey to parenthood and the unexpected twists that came with it — including initially believing that she couldn't have children and later being told she was having a girl before giving birth to a baby boy.

In August 2021, the Good Will Hunting star interviewed Henry, who was 15 years old at the time, on her podcast, Minnie Questions, where she described him as a "thoughtful, curious, quick-witted lover of video games, music and Dungeons and Dragons.” She further gushed over motherhood and praised her son for being “extraordinary.”

“He didn't have tantrums. He's never given me a moment's trouble. This child is honestly one of the most extraordinary people I've ever met in my life,” she said. “I wonder whether it was just because it was me and him for so much of his life that maybe I talked to him so much as an adult.”

Driver’s love story with O’Dea, 46, is also unique. She previously said that the relationship was a slow burn after first meeting at a breakfast party and later developing a friendship when the filmmaker helped her deliver necessities during the 2018 Malibu wildfires.

In July 2024, Driver told PEOPLE that the two had an “epic connection” from the start, although they didn’t have their “first formal date” until a year later. “I could see what an amazing person he was from the minute I met him,” she gushed.

Season 5 of Emily in Paris is now streaming on Netflix.
