Reports suggest the reality TV star is reconsidering her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex following a social media controversy that drew widespread attention. While the Kardashian-Jenner family has long moved in the same circles as the royal couple, sources now claim tensions may be brewing behind closed doors.
Meghan Markle’s photo drama was a ‘slap in the face’ for Kim Kardashian, per source
The photo-related drama dates back to Kim Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration in November last year, where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a high-profile appearance.
The couple was photographed arriving at the Beverly Hills party, which was hosted at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s home. Shortly after images from the event surfaced online, they were deleted, sparking speculation about what prompted the move.
Kim later addressed the situation on her sister Khloe’s “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast, insisting there was no feud. She explained that her team had received permission to share the photos on Instagram.

However, they were later told to remove them after realizing the event coincided with Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom. “We’re never ones to post without permission,” she said at the time. Kim added that the situation was blown out of proportion and “made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous.”
Despite her public remarks, a source now claims Kim privately felt slighted. The insider alleged the deletion request felt like a “slap in the face,” particularly because the celebration was such a milestone moment for her mother.
“Kris may be willing to forgive and forget, but Kim is not,” the source told RadarOnline. They claimed that Kim supposedly believes the couple “brought negativity to such a special moment.”
According to the insider, Jenner still has a “soft spot” for Markle and would prefer to maintain the friendship. However, Kim is reportedly urging her mother to reconsider. The source further alleged that the Skims founder sees no benefit in keeping the relationship close and is wary of any association that could bring “drama and awkwardness” to the family’s brand.
