The "Queen of Christmas" will keep her momentum going soon after the new year arrives.
Mariah Carey is now set to perform at the 2026 Olympics Opening ceremony in Italy. The pop icon, 56, took to social media on Monday, Dec. 15 to make the epic announcement.
"Ciao! Get ready for Milano Cortina 2026," Carey says in the Instagram video while donning a red gown and diamond necklace. "See you at the Stadio San Siro on the 6th of February for the Olympic opening ceremony."
The Grammy winner then signs off the public service announcement by showcasing her Italian dialect: "Ci vediamo a Milano."

Carey expectedly has plenty else to celebrate in this coveted month of December. It was just announced, for example, that her holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” has been the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 for 20 weeks — which is the longest a song has held the top spot.
Previously, the record went to "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus),” which were the No. 1 song for 19 weeks in a row. Carey previously held this record in 2019 with her song with Boyz II Men, “One Sweet Day” for 16 weeks.
