"Fox & Friends" co-host Lawrence Jones is on the mend.

Jones, 33, has been noticeably absent from the popular Fox talk show this month as he recovers from surgery, he shared on X last week.

"I recently underwent eye surgery and will be returning to work soon. I’ll share the details of my experience with you all in the future," he said Jan. 20. The political commentator assured his followers that he's "doing well" after the surgery, adding, "God is truly remarkable."

Jones also said the network "has been incredibly supportive throughout this process, ensuring that I receive the best possible care."

Who is Lawrence Jones?

Lawrence Jones speaks at the 6th Annual All-American Christmas Tree Lighting at Fox News Channel Studios on Nov. 21, 2025 in New York City.

Alongside cohosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade, Jones has been an anchor on "Fox & Friends" since 2023. The morning show airs weekdays 6-9 a.m. ET and weekends 6-10 a.m. ET.

Jones was just 30 years old when he joined the show as an anchor, at the time becoming the youngest Black co-host in cable news, the network said at the time.

Before that, he was the show's enterprise reporter for two years, during which he hosted the weekend program, "Lawrence Jones Cross Country." He first joined Fox News in 2018.

A Texas native, Jones is a graduate of the University of North Texas, according to the Denton Record-Chronicle.
