After more than 20 years living in Los Angeles, this past Saturday I finally made it to the Hollywood Sign hike. You'd think I'd be jaded or nonplussed about visiting such a tourist spot, but there really was something majestic about standing so close to an iconic landmark. Heading into Oscars weekend, it was a good reminder that movie magic is alive and well. —*Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief*****

Must List No.1: The Oscars hosted by Conan O'Brien

The film industry’s biggest weekend is here. While this year’s Oscars may lack drama (besides "balletgate"), the ceremony, airing on ABC and streaming on Hulu, is worth watching for one important reason: Conan O'Brien. During last year's debut, the former late-night host proved that his sharp delivery and bold commentary were exactly what the nearly century-old Academy Awards needed. Seeing O'Brien command the stage at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre for his second year in a row is a treat; we'll be watching an entertainer who is truly skilled at his craft. As a bonus, the predicted winners of Sunday's top awards are actually well-liked films. —*Tiffany Kelly, Staff Editor*

Hold onto your straw hats, 'cause Luffy and his crew officially enter the Grand Line on season 2 of the Netflix series. Expect an array of colorful, kooky characters, including a vulture-riding, machine gun-firing otter and a gargantuan tatted whale. Also, there's a certain little reindeer doctor. —*Nick Romano, Senior Editor*

Chloé Zhao's dreamy Oscar-nominated film, with its lush forest scenes, is best viewed on a big screen. But in case you missed it in theaters, the Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley-led drama is now streaming on Peacock. Warning: It will break your heart, before putting it back together. —*T.K.*

Ava meets ABBA in the pop diva's first single as an independent artist following her departure from Atlantic Records. If this is her emerging from her cocoon after spending much of 2025 breaking former creative ties, I can't wait to see her spread her wings. —*P.G.*

This charming new Sasquatch-themed musical, currently making its footprint on stage at the New York City Center, is big on laughs, but also does not shy away from sly commentary on the use of fear and division as a form of political distraction. —*Dalton Ross, Editorial Director*
