The 49-year-old actress said on the podcast that wearing push-up bras helps in "finding" her character on the hit show

Ali Larter is sharing how one particular piece of wardrobe helps her get in character on Landman.
On the episode of Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that will air on Jan. 27, the actress, 49, revealed that wearing push-up bras on the show helps her embody her character as confident housewife Angela, as she broke down her signature looks on the series.
“We go through different ones and also, like, what fits best with the look. But there’s always cups in there. There’s always a lot going on to get them nice and high and ripe,” Larter told host Hirsch, 37, in the PEOPLE-exclusive clip.
The Landman star said that she has fun putting on the garments to play Angela, explaining, “I think a big part of this character was finding her through that.”

Larter also shared on the podcast what brands of bras she wears to create her character, which includes a mix of high-end and affordable pieces.
“The sneaky one is the On Gossamer, because then you can put cups in it and it's just very clean,” said Larter of the Miami lingerie brand. "And it's a lot of Victoria’s Secret, really. We do some Florida mall, we do some Agent Provocateur — because I match my bra to my outfit, obviously."
Pushup bras are just one signature part of Angela’s look on Landman, with many more standout pieces added to create the part, Larter shared on the podcast.
“There’s a lot of color, a lot of oranges and blues, and then glitter sparkle. My hair gets dyed so blonde for the show, and I’m spray-tanned, and there’s all these pieces that go in,” she explained.

Another striking closet staple of Angela’s is animal prints — which Larter shared on the podcast doesn’t sit well with her husband, Hayes MacArthur.
“My husband hates animal prints. And it's so funny because that’s what I find defining about Angela,” she said of her Landman character. “When I’m zipping into my leopard suit … I feel a different kind of power. When I’m in her clothes and fully done … I can just go and unleash her.”
While Larter enjoys dressing up as her character, she recently shared that a bikini is her “least favorite” thing to wear as Angela on the show.
"I don't think there's an actress alive that's like, 'Woo! Got a bikini scene!" Larter previously told PEOPLE. “Those are the hardest for me. I don't enjoy them. It's just part of the story that I'm telling, and I'm an actress, so I get on board. But those are definitely my least favorite.”
