Sebastian Bach has a strong opinion on the upcoming reunion tours for classic rock bands Rush and Triumph. In a new interview with The Metal Voice, the original Skid Row frontman, who grew up in Canada, questioned why the classic lineup of his former band has no plans to reunite as the two Canadian classic rock bands get set to return to the road.

“Well, if Triumph is going back on tour and Rush is going back on tour, what is our problem?” Bach said in the January 2026 interview. “Like what the heck's wrong with us? Like it's just silly.”

Bach, 57, clarified, “I mean, but I'm not waiting around either at the same time. I got my own band. I got my own albums, and I play tons of shows. I'm extremely busy.”

But the iconic rocker still has that question for Skid Row founding members Dave “Snake” Sabo and Rachel Bolan. “When I see Triumph get together, I'm like, 'Hey, Snake and Rachel, what do you think of the Triumph tour? What do you think? What are your opinions on this?'” Bach said.

Bach fronted the classic lineup of Skid Row alongside Sabo, Bolan, Scotti Hill, and Rob Affuso from 1987 to 1996. The singer’s era of the iconic heavy metal band spawned some of their biggest songs, including "18 and Life,” “Youth Gone Wild,” and "I Remember You.” Bach was fired from the band for rejecting some new material they wanted him to sing, he once told Legendary Rock Interviews.

Skid Row’s had multiple lineup changes over the past 30 years, but Sabo has made it clear he has no interest in reuniting the band’s classic lineup that included Bach, no matter how much fans beg for it.

In a 2024 interview on the Hook Rocks podcast, the Skid Row guitarist confirmed, "It's not gonna happen. …I'm thankful that people have such an interest in wanting to see that happen, but I also have to reiterate that this is about being happy in the situation that you're in. … I do need to say something too, is that the reason that this isn't happening is because there's three of us — myself, Scotti and Rachel — who've had conversations about this, and we've all been on the same page that we don't wanna go down that road again. We just — we don’t.”

In 2025, Bach told Get on the Bus that it makes no sense that Skid Row can’t give the fans what they want. “Basically, it’s a business reason why it hasn’t happened yet, it’s not a personal reason," he said.

Bach noted that he has not been in the same room with Skid Row since 1996 and that the band members don’t return his calls.

“The fact that [the original] Skid Row is not together doesn't make any sense,” he added. “We're five guys that are playing the same set, but we're not together. …I’II play with everybody. I'm in a band, Kings of Chaos, with Matt Sorum, and I'm in a band called Royal Machines with Billy Morrison, and I play with all kinds of musicians all the time. So it doesn't make sense that I can't play with those guys. But as I said, it's a business matter and maybe someday the business can get sorted out.”

Bach’s latest Skid Row comments come one month after Triumph announced their first tour in more than 30 years. The Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour kicks off April 22 at GLF Memorial Gardens in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.

In addition, in October 2025, Rush bandmates Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced they would return to touring for the first time since the death of their beloved bandmate Neil Peart. Rush’s Fifty Something Tour starts in June in Los Angeles, per Ultimate Classic Rock.

In January 2026, Bach will hit the road for his The Party Never Ends Tour with Stitched Up Heart.
